Translation: Abraham Joseph Solomon Graziano, may his Rock and Redeemer protect him, year 413 of minor reckoning [i.e. AM 5413, which is 1652/3 of the Christian era]. Another inscription on the same page, apparently also by his hand: קיבלתי מכמ"ר אברהם [מפיסא?] בדרשה שלו (=I received from R. Abraham [from Pisa?] in his sermon...), which is not a matter of ownership. And on the text of the book he wrote there: ספר מורה הנבוכים, בלי פירוש גדול, אבל יש בו במקומות (=The Guide for the Perplexed, without a big commentary, but it has in many places...), and the end is illegible. One more inscription on the same page mentions just פלוני בן פלוני (=so-and-so son of so-and-so), which may be a sort of draft. In many places of the book there are handwritten notes in Hebrew by an Italian hand (it seems that on these notes Graziano was talking). Many of them begin with abbreviations פי', ר"ל, נ"א for פירוש (=commentary), רוצה לומר (=wants to say), נוסח אחר (=another version). A pointing hand in a few pages. Rare notes in Latin: Iusticia ur ingt cicero officio... (fol. [17]v), atomus signat grece... (fol. [25]r).- Owner
