- The first line of the inscription reads as follows: דוד ב"הרב הגאון הגדול המופלא המאור הגדול מהר"ר יצחק ב"ה ספר פני יצחק זוטא דפוס אמשטרדם Since the only edition of Pene Yitshak Zuta, the book mentioned in this inscription, was published in Amsterdam in 1731, it is extremely likely that the inscription, written by the son of the author of Pene Yitshak Zuta, is from the 18th century. The name of the author of that work is Yitshak b. David mi-Yanov. http://aleph.nli.org.il:80/F/?func=direct&doc_number=000136753&local_base=MBI01
