- Notes
- Note that in 1958 Francis A. Countway donated enough funds to combine Harvard University's medical collections with those of Boston Medical Library. The new library was especially interested in rare books on medical subjects and Sefer ha-Kanon was one of them--the first book of medicine printed in Hebrew. The Countway library opened in 1965.
