More details: Daniel son of Johann Quesuitius/Quaespitius/Quesvitius/Queschwitz/Queswitz/Queswetz was from Brig, a town in the canton of Valais (Switzerland). In 1578 he was author of a wedding poem dedicated to the Pastor Johann Scholtz (Scultetus), Wrocław 1558-1618, published in the Epithalamium in nuptias ornatissimi viri ... Dn. Johannis Sculteti, Saganensis ... et ... Mariae ... Another poem by “Daniel Quesvvitius” was printed in Nicolaus Longipontanus, Vota Propemptika, Vratislaviæ [= In Wrocław], 1584, pp. 4-5 (it is 32 lines long), see Bibliotheca Slavica. IV. Katalog 50. Folia philologica”, LXXXIX, 1966, 2, p. 188. “Daniel Queswitz” graduated in Theology in Padua on October 30, 1592 as belonging to the “Natio Germanica artistarum” (German students had special privileges in Padua University), see Rotulus et matricula D.D.
