Suleiman HaKohen purchased twenty eight books in Almazan, Spain. They are listed on the front of the first flyleaf of this copy of the Tur, Yoreh Deah, which presumably belonged to him. He purchased them 14 days before the edict expelling the Jews from Spain. We do not know if he lived in Almazan. But we can presume that because he listed two volumes of Yoreh Deah and two volumes of Orach Hayyim that he may have been a bookseller. .
