Fabrizio Quaglia has provided a transcription and explanation for this inscription: “Io [?] qto [= questo] Libro diviso in due Tomi / col תפלה למשה le [wrong for lo?] diedi in cambio / a chi me l’ha venduto un / [?] חכמה [unread] ראשי”: “I this book divided in two volumes, with Tefillah le-Mošeh I gave it in return to whom it sold to me, a Heads of the Wisdom [?]”. חכמה or חכמש? I think that this owner was in possession of Šošanim le-Dawid few years after its publication and then he exchanged it with (or for?) Tefillah le-Mošeh to the same guy (a Rabbi?) from which earlier bought it. The Bibliography of the Hebrew Book indicates that they were printed only 2 eds. (Salonika 1563 and Crakow 1589) of Mošeh b. Baruk Almośnino’s Tefillah le-Mošeh before Crakow 1820. According to Jewish Encyclopedia, I, p. 434, it was “an apologetic work on the Pentateuch, published at Salonica in 1563, and republished at Cracow in 1598 and 1805”. ---- Chaim Meiselman responds: this is the inscription as I see it: 'io qto.
