        jlo:hasAbstract         "All notes by Chaim Meiselman:  This is a volume of Meturgeman, a dictionary of Hebrew and Aramaic with sourced terms in the Bible and Targumim. It was printed in Isny im Allgäu by R. Elia ha-Baḥur (also known as Elia Levita; Neustadt 1469-Venice 1549) during his stay with Paul Fagius (Rheinzabern 1504-Cambridge 1549) and during their joint Hebrew printing in Isny. The Meturgeman was printed with the introductions of both Fagius and Levita and with the endnote and poem of Levita. First word of the title is in Hebrew; the remainder of the title is in Latin. The typography is thick Ashkenazic square type, mostly with vocalization. With printed marginal notes in smalled cursive-style print. With woodcut initials; a historiated initial is on page [iv]. Cum gratia et privilegio caesareo ad decennium - from the title page. The colophon uses the printers device of Fagius showing a fruit tree with a פ = ב around it (for the Hebrew spelling of his name, פאולוש בגיוש). Below that is a Hebrew translation of Matthew 7:17 (every good tree bears good fruit; in Hebrew: Kol ilan ṭov nośe peri ṭov). The colophon spelling of Isny is איזנה, Iznah, following the Latin Isnae. Signatures: 6 leaves, 1-27⁶ 28³ (last leaf unmarked), 1 leaf.";
