At the end, there is a selection of Responsa from the author on the laws of Passover; most are very lengthy. The major elements of the title statement is printed in heavy bold type. The author was the Av-Beth-Din, or Rabbinical Judge, in Zabłudów in the Białystok County in Podlaskie in northeastern Poland; he went on to become the Av-Beth-Din of greater Białystok; after which he moved to Germany and served the rabbinate in Schwerin and the greater Mecklenberg provinces. Haskamot of Saul Lowenstamm in Amsterdam, 9 Tamuz 1762; ibid, signing in Frankfurt a.d. Oder, 21 Heshvan 1770; Aharon b. Mosheh of Berlin, signing 13 Sivan 1769; David Tevele Schiff, signing in Altona-Hamburg-Wandsbek (although he actually only presided over Hamburg at the time), 1 Heshvan 1768; Israel Lipshutz of Kleve, signing in late 1770; Shmu’el Zanvyl from Brandburg, serving the rabbinate in Strelitz, 2 Nisan 1769; Efraim-Fishel of Tiktin (Tykocin, Poland), 1770; Binyamin b. Tsevi-Hirsch Biszka of Zamość, presiding over the Grätz rabbinate, signing in Hansaplatz (? possibly a part of Koenigsburg, i.e. Kaliningrad) 4 Tamuz 1770. Opens with novellae of the author’s brother. Edited with additions by Baruch ben Moses of Kamieniec Litewski. references Steinschneider, M. Cat. Libr. Hebr. Bodl., #6052:1. Zedner, J. Cat.
