Eliezer Ettinger of Hölleschau (today Holešov near Zlin in the east-central Czech Republic) who served as an Av-Beth-Din in Kraków at the time of printing. Elements of writing are taken from the author’s relatives, also rabbis; columns in the book have titles such as ’by the [author’s] brother, Yehuda-Loeb ha-levi of Lvov’ and author’s brother-in-law Shelomoh of the Lichtenstadt Rabbinate (today Hroznětín in the north Czech Republic); the father-in-law of the author’s brother, Eisek Prager of the Glogau Rabbinate.      On l. 2, a paragraph is attributed to the eminent rabbi of Hölleschau, Shabbatai ben Meir HaKohen (1621-1662), also known as the Shach, because he authored the commentary Sifte Kohen.      Haskamah of the author’s brother, Yehudah-Loeb ha-levi of Lvov; introduction by the author’s father.      Title page is illustrated heavily around an architechtural style; miniature woodcuts are built-in to the scheme. At the top, Jacob dreams of angels ascending a ladder; Abraham greets Melchizedek in Salem; Moses accepts the Tablets of the Law at Sinai.
