Amsterdam-Frankfurt Notes: Although in the historical timeline of "Pilpul", the style of Talmudic analysis begun during the 16th century in Poland, this work is late - it probably is one of the most famous Pilpul works ever written.Decorated title, and then detailed title after. Title statement from the first title: ...יעקב יושע ששימש בכתר הרבנות בק"ק לבוב והגליל ובק"ק ברלין וק"ק מיץ ובק"ק פ"פ דמיין : ויהא רעווא דמשמיא יסכימו על ידו להוציא מחשבתו אל הפועל אשר נשאו לבו לשבת בארץ הקדושה אי"ה. Translation:" ... Jacob Joshua, who served the 'crown of the Rabbinate' in the holy communities of L'vov, and surrounding ... and in Berlin, and in Metz, and in Frankfurt on the Main ; may it be that in the generosity of heaven, "They will accede to his will" to complete his desire to material, that which (he) carries in his heart ... to settle in the Holy Land, Amen, may it be His will (so).
