All notes by Chaim Meiselman:notes Addenda at the ending: Shu.t. le-Leshon ha-Ramb.am., a series of responsa written regarding the author’s notes on Maimonides’ Mishneh Torah. This volume follows a different order than that of the previous edition, printed in Livorno in 1652. Elements of the responsa are from manuscript which weren’t printed in the earlier edition. Title minimally decorated with flora ornaments. Long title statement describes the printing history of this edition. David Ashkenazi, son of Mordekhai (author of Eshel Avraham, a commentary on the Zohar) financed the printing; credit is also given to benefactors in Livorno. Following the text is a detailed index to the subjects of the responsa in the order of the Arba’a Turim and the Shulhan Arukh; the author of this was Simḥa Callimani. Typesetter was Shemu’el b. Ya’akov Tiarni. Super-imprint - Nella Stamperia Vendramina. Haskamot on this edition: The letter of the Jerusalem rabbinical delegation, dated 5 Nisan 1735 and signed by Nisim-Mosheh Mizrahi, Yisra’el Me’ir Mizrahi, Yehudah Diwan, David ha-kohen, Ya’akov Algazi, Shemu’el Meyyuhas, and Mosheh Bula; letter of Venitian rabbinical delegation, dated 1 Shevat 1749, signed by Shelomoh Montanyana, Shelomoh b. Mosheh Minz, Mosheh-Menahem Merari, Ya’akov hai Levi, Ya’akov Bleilios, Simha Callimani, and Ya’akov Saerevalli; letter of the Livornian rabbinical delegation, Nisan 1749, signed by Ya’akov Lucena, Yitshak Enriques, and Masoud hai-Roke’ah. Final date of printing is on the recto of l. [2], after a list of print-hands and typesetters, dated 1 Tamuz (June 17) 1749. After the list of typesetters, the "inker" (in charge of inking the press-plates) is named as ’eved nirtsa le-’avodatam’, meaning (Biblical) "indentured servant" to the work. references Steinschneider, M.
