- אין הקדמה של ממש - זו תוכננה ככל הנראה אך לא מופיעה בספר כפי שהוא בידינו היום (ראו לשונית "הקדמות"). לעומת זאת, ישנו לוח קיצורים המקדים את הטקסט.,אין מדובר בהקדמה של ממש, רק לוח קיצורים המקדים את הטקסט ולא נכלל במספור הספר. הערה בסוף הרשימה מעידה על כך שהמחבר התכוון לפרסם הקדמה נפרדת: "וויר האבען היר נור פ'ארלייפ'יג בעמערקט די בעדייטונגן דיזער ווערטער. אין אונזרר הקדמה ווערדען וויר אויספ'יהרליכ'ער דא פ'אן האנדלן."
