- דברי הקדמה מאת המחבר בשתי שפות, עברית וצרפתית, פונים אל קהל יהודי ואל קהל לא יהודי. כפי שכותב בדברי ההקדמה בצרפתית, תחת הכותרת Avertissement: המחבר תרגם את שירו מעברית לצרפתית וגרמנית כדי להעביר לאחיו האזרחים את הרעיונות שהביאוהו לחבר את השיר. לטענתו, יודעי צרפתית וגרמנית קראו את התרגום לפני הדפסת הספר.
