SABSAY Peter (Pinkhos) Vladimirovich (1883, Odessa - 1980, Baku), Bildhauer. Acad. Akademie der Künste der UdSSR (1947). В 1915 поступил в АХ (Петроград) в кл. проф. Г.Р.Залемана. В 1916 мобилизован в армию, в 1918 возвратился в Одессу, где начал самостоят. творч. деятельность. С 1920 преподавал на скульпт. ф-те Ин-та изобр. иск-ва, созд. на основе б. Одесского худ. уч-ща. В 1922 возобновил занятия во ВХУТЕИНе. С 1926 – в Баку, преподавал в худ. уч-ще. В 1940–61 руководил скульпт. отд-нием Азерб. худ. уч-ща (Баку). Работал в реалистич. традициях. Автор памятников (Баку, Краснодар), рельефов, скульпт. композиций.
