Одним из первых в СССР применил биопсию костного мозга, селезенки, печени в целях диагностики, уточнил показания к удалению селезенки. Первым в СССР осуществил операцию по созданию искусств. влагалища из сигмовидной кишки, разработал оперативный доступ к шейному отделу симпатич. ствола и пластику сфинктера заднего прохода.
