ASHKENAZI Israel Markovich (* 1917 in Nischni Nowgorod), Maler, Monumentalist. Ml. Bruder dünn. M. M. Ashkenazi. Er studierte im 1. Jahr des Gorki Thin. Schule (1937–38), wird vorbereiten. Kurse des Instituts für Malerei, Bildhauer. und Architekt. Vseros. AH (1940), in der Kiewer Kunst. in-jenen (1951–57) im Atelier von A. A. Shovkunenko. 1941-1948 in der Armee. Er arbeitete in der Kunst von Odessa. Workshops (1948–51). 1959 machte er das erste Denkmal in Gorki, malte im Freien (c / t "Petrel") und in den 1960er - 70er Jahren. eine Reihe ähnlicher Arbeiten für Wohnhäuser und Gesellschaften, Stadtgebäude, in denen A. sich mit Stilisierung und Dekoration befasst, dem Rhythmus des Comp., der das Bild unterordnet. АШКЕНАЗИ Израиль Маркович (р. 1917, Нижний Новгород), живописец, монументалист. Мл. брат худ. М.М.Ашкенази. Учился на 1 курсе Горьковского худ. уч-ща (1937–38), подготовит. курсах Ин-та живописи, скульпт. и архит. Всерос. АХ (1940), в Киевском худ. ин-те (1951–57) в мастерской А.А.Шовкуненко. В 1941–1948 в армии. Работал в Одесских худ. мастерских (1948–51). В 1959 осуществил первую в Горьком монумент, роспись в технике альфреско (к/т «Буревестник»), а в 1960-е – 70-е гг. целый ряд подобных работ для жилых и обществ, зданий города, в к-рых А. идет к стилизации и декор, ритмичности комп., подчиняя изобр. элементы общему архит.-худ. замыслу, вносит в архит. декор, начало и обогащает ее («Девушка и парус», «Космическая связь», «Морские легенды» и др.). А. создал также целую гал. произв. станковой живописи (портреты, пейзажи, жанры), где активную роль играют колорит и пластическая выразительность средств («Автопортрет», «В зале ожидания», 1950-е гг., сер. пейзажей «Горячий ключ», «Гурзуф», 1970-е гг. и др.). С 1957 уч. в обл. выставках. Первая персональная выставка в 1979.
