ГРАНДО Александр Абрамович (1919, Ямполь – 2004, Киев), специалист по социальной гигиене, организатор здравоохранения, специалист музейного дела. Д-р мед. наук (1968), проф. (1970). В 1941 окончил Киевский мед. ин-т. Участник войны 1941–45. С 1947 ассистент кафедры орг-ции здравоохранения Киевского мед. ин-та, с 1949 по 1959 – Киевского ин-та усовершенствования врачей. С 1959 по 1961 рук. отд. истории гигиены Киевского ин-та общей и коммунальной гигиены. Доцент кафедры орг-ции здравоохранения Киевского мед. ин-та (1961–67), проф. кафедры (1968–71) и ее зав. (1972–90). Осн. науч. работы посвящены разл. вопросам соц. гигиены, орг-ции здравоохранения, истории медицины, совершенствования мед. помощи населению, врач, этике и мед. деонтологии. С нач. 60-х гг. занимался орг-цией Музея истории медицины, к-рый был открыт в 1982 и принят в состав чл. Европ. ассоциации музеев истории мед. наук. Г. поч. пред. Укр. науч. об-ва историков медицины.
