Автор ок. 150 науч. работ, посв. проблемам умств. деятельности ребенка, роли речи в чувственном познании и практике. Наиб, известность получила кн. Л. «Очерки психического развития ребенка» (1959) – первое сов. уч. пособие по психологии ребенка дошкольного возраста. Разрабатывала также вопросы развивающего обучения, нравственного воспитания.
