С 1912 работала в Петербурге в убежище «Помощь матерям», где организовала и возглавила первую в городе консультацию для грудных детей и разработала методику сан.-просвет. патронажа, принятую впоследствии во всех дет. консультациях. В 1917 организовала первую в России консультацию для беременных, в 1919 – юрид. консультацию по вопросам охраны материнства и младенчества (ОММ)). Состояла чл. Совета ОММ при Наркомздраве Сев. края (1918–20). Была одним из учредителей Петрогр. науч. об-ва охраны материнства и младенчества (1920). С 1925 деятельность М. связана с организованным при ее участии Ленингр. ин-том ОММ, где она была науч. рук. дет. консультации, а затем (с 1929) доц. на кафедре соц. гигиены женщины и ребенка. В 1935 разработала (совм. с М.Я.Слуцким) «Метод, положения и инструкции по работе учреждений ОММ Ленинграда». Большое внимание уделяла сан.-просвет. работе (создала школу матерей, организовала выставку, посв. гигиене матери и ребенка). Автор (совм. с А.Н.Антоновым) руководства «Мать и ребенок», к-рое выдержало 4 изд. (1925–37).
