FALK Robert Rafailovich (1886, Moscow - 1958, ibid.), Painter, theater designer. Son of R.A. Falk. In 1901–05 he studied in the class. drawing and painting KF Yuon and in the private studio of II Mashkov, in 1905–12 - at the Moscow School of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture. In 1910 - one of the founders of the artists' society "Jack of Diamonds". Since 1916, member. association "World of Art". He painted portraits, landscapes, still lifes, nudity. In 1918–20 prof. painting Free artists. workshops, member. collegiums for pictures. Isk-va at the People's Commissariat for Education, Ph.D. GakhN, Dean of the Living Faculty of VKHUTEIN. In the 1920s. designed the performances "Night in the Old Market" based on the poem by I.-L. Peretz, "The Journey of Benjamin III" after Mendele Moikher-Sforim in Moscow. GOSET. In 1925, members. Society of Artists “Mosk. painters ", in 1926-28 members. AHRR. In 1928–37 - in creative work. business trip in France. Since 1937 - in Moscow. Designed the performances: "Solomon Maimon" by M. Daniel (post. S.M. Mikhoels), "The Spaniards" (together with his son - V.R.Falk) after M.Yu. Lermontov (both - in the GOSET, 1940), in BelGOSET - "The Enchanted Tailor" by Sholem Aleichem (post. N.B. Leuter). In 1941–45 he wrote ser. Wed-Asian landscapes, after returning to Moscow - mid. still lifes, landscapes of the Moscow region. In 1947–57 he designed the performances “The Forest is Noisy” by A. Bart and G. Linkov in Moscow. GOSET (post. Mikhoels), "Lion in the square" by IG Erenburg in the State. moscow Chamber Theater (post. A.Ya. Tairov), "Only Truth" by J.-P. Sartre in T-re of satire (post. V.N. Pluchek). F.'s work was influenced by impressionism, post-impressionism, fauvism, and cubism. F. attached great importance to the problems of plasticity of pictorial solutions to the volume of things. In 1906 he first participated in an exhibition (Ryazan) under the ps. Clough Trebor, in 1910-17 - in exhibitions of the "Jack of Diamonds" Society, "The World of Art", in 1926-28 - the Moscow Society. artists, in 1928–42 - in the exhibitions "Salon d'Automne" and in the gallery Irondel (Paris). F.'s works were exhibited at exhibitions: "30 years of Moscow Artists Union" in 1962, "Paris - Moscow" in 1979, "Moscow - Paris" in 1981, "Stages of a long journey" in 1987 (Moscow). Personal exhibitions: in Moscow (1924, 1929, 1939, 1958, 1966 - see), Paris (1929, 1937). In den Jahren 1941–45 schrieb er ser. Mi-asiatische Landschaften nach der Rückkehr nach Moskau - Mitte. Stillleben, Landschaften der Region Moskau. In den Jahren 1947–57 entwarf er die Aufführungen „Der Wald ist laut“ von A. Bart und G. Linkov in Moskau. GOSET (post. Mikhoels), "Löwe auf dem Platz" der IG Erenburg im Bundesstaat. Moskau Chamber Theatre (Posting von A.Ya. Tairov), "Only Truth" von J.-P. Sartre im T-re of Satire (Posting von V.N. Pluchek). Fs Arbeit wurde von Impressionismus, Postimpressionismus, Fauvismus und Kubismus beeinflusst. F. legte großen Wert auf die Plastizitätsprobleme bildlicher Lösungen für das Volumen der Dinge. 1906 nahm er erstmals an einer Ausstellung (Ryazan) unter der ps teil. В 1901–05 занимался в кл. рисования и живописи К.Ф.Юона и в частной студии И.И.Машкова, в 1905–12 – в МУЖВЗ. В 1910 – один из основателей об-ва художников «Бубновый валет». С 1916 чл. объединения «Мир искусства». Писал портреты, пейзажи, натюрморты, обнаженную натуру. В 1918–20 проф. живописи Свободных худож. мастерских, чл. коллегии по делам изобр. иск-ва при Наркомпросе, д. ч. ГАХН, декан живоп. ф-та ВХУТЕИНа. В 1920-е гг. оформил спектакли «Ночь на старом рынке» по поэме И.-Л.Переца, «Путешествие Вениамина III» по Менделе Мойхер-Сфориму в Моск. ГОСЕТе. В 1925 чл. Об-ва художников «Моск. живописцы», в 1926–28 чл. АХРР. В 1928–37 – в творч. командировке во Франции. С 1937 – в Москве. Оформил спектакли: «Соломон Маймон» М.Даниэля (пост. С.М.Михоэлса), «Испанцы» (совм. с сыном – В.Р.Фальком) по М.Ю.Лермонтову (оба – в ГОСЕТе, 1940), в БелГОСЕТе – «Заколдованный портной» Шолом-Алейхема (пост. Н.Б.Лойтера). В 1941–45 написал сер. ср.-азиатских пейзажей, после возвращения в Москву – сер. натюрмортов, пейзажей Подмосковья. В 1947–57 оформил спектакли: «Лес шумит» А.Барта и Г.Линькова в Моск. ГОСЕТе (пост. Михоэлса), «Лев на площади» И.Г.Эренбурга в Гос. моск. Камерном театре (пост. А.Я.Таирова), «Только правда» Ж.-П.Сартра в Т-ре сатиры (пост. В.Н.Плучека). Творчество Ф. испытало на себе влияние импрессионизма, постимпрессионизма, фовизма, кубизма. Большое значение Ф. придавал проблемам пластичности живописных решений объема вещей. В 1906 впервые участвовал в выставке (Рязань) под пс. Клаф Требор, в 1910–17 – в выставках об-в «Бубновый валет», «Мир искусства», в 1926–28 – Об-ва Моск. художников, в 1928–42 – в выставках «Осенний салон» и в галерее Ирондель (Париж). Произведения Ф. экспонировались на выставках: «30 лет МОСХа» в 1962, «Париж – Москва» в 1979, «Москва – Париж» в 1981, «Этапы большого пути» в 1987 (Москва). Персональные выставки: в Москве (1924, 1929, 1939, 1958, 1966 – посм.), Париже (1929, 1937). Произв. хранятся в ГТГ, ГРМ и мн. худ. музеях России и др. стран. Ф. – прототип героя пов. Л.Е.Улицкой «Сонечка».Сын Ф. – Валерий (1916, Москва – 1943, под Сталинградом), живописец. Учился у отца. В 1933–38 – в Париже. Участник выставок с 1936. С 1941– на фронте.
