АН СССР, Ин-те атомной энергии им. И.В.Курчатова, с 1965 зав. отд. космич. лучей в Ин-те земного магнетизма, ионосферы и распространения радиоволн АН СССР. Засл. деятель науки РФ. Автор ок. 500 науч. ст. и 15 монографий по теории метеорологич. эффектов космич. лучей, теории геомагнитных вариаций космич. лучей, их взаимодействия с солнечными корпускулярными потоками и др. теоретич. вопросам физики и астрофизики космич. лучей, в т.ч. «Вариации космич. лучей» (1957); «Вариации космич. лучей и исследование космоса» (1963); «Метерологич. эффекты космич. лучей» (1972); «Экспериментальные и теоретич. основы астрофизики космич. лучей» (1975) и др.
