В декабре 1941 был эвакуирован в Казань, вернувшись, вновь приступил к работе в Ленингр. ун-те (с 1944) и в Пулковской обсерватории (с 1946). Осн. науч. работы посв. вычислит, астрономии и астрометрии. Им были также изданы курсы «Способ наименьших квадратов» (2-е изд., 1932), «Теория потенциала с приложениями к теории фигуры Земли и геофизике» (2-е изд., 1936).
