Много ездил по стране, встречался с молодежью, публиковал очерки и репортажи, являющиеся ярким документом того времени. В нач. 1930-х гг. переехал на Д. Восток, писал корреспонденции и очерки о Биробиджане, затем возглавил обл. союз промысловой кооперации. В 1937 был арестован в Хабаровске по обвинению в принадлежности к «антисов. право-троцкистской орг-ции». Приговорен к расстрелу.
