Арестован в 1920, в 1921 Верх. рев. трибуналом при ВЦИК приговорен к 5 годам исправительных работ. В 1923 досрочно освобожден из тюрьмы и сослан в Вятку. В 1931 выслан на 3 года в Вост. Сибирь. В ссылке восстановил связи с «Союзным бюро» меньшевиков, избран чл. подпольного ЦК РСДРП(м), рук. орг-цией ссыльных в Енисейске, поддерживал контакты с «Полит. Красным крестом».
