Один из создателей Об-ва друзей евр. музыки в Париже. Жертвовал на евр. детские дома в Креславке и Двинске. Испытал сильное влияние О.Родена, сказавшееся в скульптурном портрете Л.Н.Толстого, выполненном в 1901 в Ясной Поляне. По дороге из России в Голландию выполнил скульпт. бюсты героев англо-бурской войны (хранятся в Музее в Претории). В 1905 на Междунар. выставке в Льеже представил бюст Л.Бетховена, в 1922 создал бюст Л.Пастера для Пастеровского ин-та (мр.). Кавалер ордена Почетного легиона.
