Methoden und Mechanismen von Festkörpern (insbesondere der Methode der photoelastischen Beschichtung) und Räumen. Probleme der Elastizitätstheorie. Abschluss einer Reihe von Arbeiten zu achsensymmetrischen Problemen der Elastizitätstheorie (B.G. Galerkin Ave., 1964). Autor von wissenschaftlichen. gedruckte Werke und Monographien. АЛЕКСАНДРОВ Авраам Яковлевич (1915, Житомир Волынской губ. – 1983, Новосибирск), физик, специалист в обл. механики твердого тела и теории упругости. Д-р техн. наук (1947), проф. с 1948. Окончил в 1939 Ростовский ин-т инж. ж.-д. транспорта. В 1931–41 работал в Ростове-на-Дону, с 1941 – на воен. з-дах Новосибирска. С 1951 зав. кафедрой строит, механики Новосибирского ин-та инж. ж.-д. транспорта и в Сибирском н.-и. авиац. ин-те.Осн. иссл. посвящены расчетам трехслойных конструкций с заполнителями, поляризац.-оптич. методам и механике твердого тела (в частности, методу фотоупругих покрытий) и пространств. задачам теории упругости. Выполнил цикл работ по осесимметричным задачам теории упругости (Пр. им. Б.Г.Галеркина, 1964). Автор науч. печатных работ и монографий. Чл.
