Моссовета. Во время Гражд. войны – организатор отд. труда на Украине, зам. нач. политотдела Запасной армии Юго-Вост. фр., нач. политотдела 2-й Конной армии, чл. Реввоенсовета Сев.-Кавк. ВО. В 1921–22 зав. орготделом Псковского губкома РКП(б), пред. губпрофсовета в Пскове, затем в Брянске. В 1922–24 учился на курсах марксизма при Социалистич. академии в Москве. В 1924–29 секр.
