KLEBANSKY Alexander Lvovich (Leibovich) (1898, Merkin, Provinz Wilna - 1986, Leningrad), Chemiker. Dr. chem. Sciences (1947), prof. (1957). Fettverbindungen. L. - M., 1947.

Sci. research Until 1932, they were associated with the development of methods for producing antipyrine and pyramidone from available raw materials, with the synthesis of ethylene and propylene glycols. From 1932 he worked on the problem of obtaining synthetic chloroprene. rubber (cov-prena) from acetylene. Supervised the creation of a pilot plant and subsequently a plant for the production of oil-resistant rubber. In 1940, in Yerevan, he actively participated in the commissioning of the plant according to vol. polychloroprene rubber, to-ry during the war of 1941–45 was unity. in the country by a company that produced such products. In 1955 he proposed an improvement. technology and participated in the development of higher quality rubber production (nairite). In the end. 1940s carried out the synthesis of dimethyldichlorosilane and siloxane rubber, as well as a number of other rubbers and rubbers combining high thermal and frost resistance with oil and gas resistance and other valuable properties. Author of scientific. printed works, more than 100 copyright certificates and patents. Became. pr. (1943). Cit .: Acetylene in the synthesis of organic. fatty compounds. L. - M., 1947.
Л. – М., 1947.
