MALEKH Leib (real name and surname Leib Zaltsman) (1894, Zvolen 'Kozenetsky u. Radom province. - 1936, Paris), poet, playwright. In 1915 he made his debut as a ballad in gas. "Warshaver togblat", then published in it and in other editions. poems, poems, legends. He shared the ideas of the Poalei Zion party, for which in 1919 he composed the text of the oath, which was then translated into Hebrew. In 1921 he moved to Radom, where he edited a local Jewish weekly. From 1922 - in Argentina (Buenos Aires), led the societies. or T. activities, edited weekly. ill. zhurn. Far groys un klein, published in another edition. In tech. several years traveled around the South Amer. countries, he lived in Brazil for a year and a half, gave lectures. M. - the author of the poem "In Poiln" ("In Poland"), 1919; rum. Don Domingos kreutzweg (Don Domingo's Thorny Path), 1930; "Alters jugnt yorn" ("Young years of Alter"), 1934, etc.

Europa. 1934–35 - in E.-I. Unter den Produkten. M. Ein besonderer Platz wird von Dramen eingenommen. op. "Opfal" ("Waste") und "Ibergus" ("Remelting"), die den "Boden" der argentinischen Gesellschaft darstellen. Diese und andere Stücke von M. wurden von den besten jüdischen Theatern aufgeführt. M. - der Autor des Gedichts "In Poiln" ("In Polen"), 1919; Rum. Don Domingos Kreutzweg, 1930; "Alters jugnt yorn" (1934 usw.)

МАЛЕХ Лейб (наст. имя и фам. Лейб Зальцман) (1894, Зволень Козенецкого у. Радомской губ. – 1936, Париж), поэт, драматург. В 1915 дебютировал балладой в газ. «Варшавер тогблат», затем печатал в ней и в др. изд. стихи, поэмы, легенды. Разделял идеи партии «Поалей Цион», для к-рой в 1919 сочинил текст клятвы, переведенный затем на иврит. В 1921 переехал в Радом, где редактировал местный еврейский еженед. С 1922 – в Аргентине (Буэнос-Айрес), вел обществ. и лит. деятельность, редактировал еженед. илл. журн. «Фар гройс ун клейн», печатался в др. изд. В теч. неск. лет разъезжал по южноамер. странам, полтора года жил в Бразилии, читал лекции. В 1929 вернулся в Польшу. Много путешествовал по Зап. Европе. В 1934–35 – в Э.-И. Среди произв. М. особое место занимают драм. соч. «Опфал» («Отходы») и «Ибергус» («Переплавка»), изображавшие «дно» аргентинского об-ва. Эти и др. пьесы М. ставили лучшие еврейские т-ры. М. – автор поэмы «Ин Пойлн» («В Польше»), 1919; ром. «Дон Домингос крейцвег» («Тернистый путь дона Доминго»), 1930; «Алтерс югнт йорн» («Молодые годы Алтера»), 1934 и др.
