КИРПИЧНИКОВ Моисей Эльевич (1913, Гомель – 1995, Петербург), ботаник, специалист в области систематики растений. Д-р биол. наук (1965). Окончил биол. ф-т ЛГУ (1939) и аспирантуру Бо-танич. ин-та. Участник войны 1941–45. Науч. деятельность начал на кафедре ботаники в студенч. годы. Работал в ботанич. эксп. на Кавказе, Тянь-Шане, в Закавказье, в басе. р.Печоры, а также в объедин. сов.-кит. эксп. на ю.-з. Китая. В 1949–51 уч. секр. Ботанич. ин-та, с 1951 ст. науч. сотр. отд. систематики и географии высш. растений. Автор 263 науч. работ и ок. 600 ст. для энциклопедий. Монографии и справочники К. содержат ценный материал для изучения высш. растений. Среди них «Справочное пособие по систематике высш. растений» (1954), «Атлас по описательной морфологии высш. растений. Лист» (1956), отмеченный Пр. им. В.Л.Комарова АН СССР. Участвовал в составлении изд. «Флора СССР». Именем К. названы 1 род и 4 вида растений.Соч.: Атлас по описательной морфологии высш. растений.
