GRUZENBERG Samuil Osipovich (1854, Kherson province - 1909, St. Petersburg), doctor, publicist, societies, activist. Oscar's brother G. Received trad. Heb. education. Graduated from the Military-med. acad. in Petersburg (1885). From the beginning. 1880s was published in petersburg. periodic. ed. In 1889, publ. in Heb. review "Art. "About physical. condition of the Jews, "fasting soon became. sotr. g. "Voskhod" and "Voskhod Books" (lit. ps: S. Dniprov, S. Osipov and others), published art. on anthropology, statistics and issues of Heb. life. From the end. 1890s often replaced ed. A.E. Landau. At the same time. worked in the Society for the dissemination of education among Jews in Russia, in 1892-96 members. They advise. bureau at Heb. colonization society, the author of the note “On certain needs of Heb. population in Russia "(1896). In 1900–04 he published gas in St. Petersburg. Gleichzeitig. arbeitete 1892-96 in der Gesellschaft zur Verbreitung der Bildung unter Juden in Russland. Sie beraten. Büro in Heb. Kolonisationsgesellschaft, der Autor der Notiz „Über bestimmte Bedürfnisse von Heb. Bevölkerung in Russland "(1896). In den Jahren 1900 bis 2004 veröffentlichte er Gas in St. Petersburg. "Zukunft" ("Unabhängiger Körper russischer Juden") sowie dessen jährliche. lit.-wissenschaftlich. Sammlung. Durch Finanzen gezwungen. Schwierigkeiten, die Veröffentlichung zu beenden, G. verließ die literarische Tätigkeit und zuletzt. Jahre beschäftigte er sich ausschließlich mit Honig. trainieren.

ГРУЗЕНБЕРГ Самуил Осипович (1854, Херсонская губ. – 1909, Петербург), врач, публицист, обществ, деятель. Брат Оскара Г. Получил традиц. евр. образование. Окончил Воен.-мед. акад. в Петербурге (1885). С нач. 1880-х гг. печатался в петерб. периодич. изд. В 1889 опубл. в «Евр. обозрении» ст. «О физ. состоянии евреев», вскоре стал пост. сотр. ж. «Восход» и «Книжек «Восхода» (лит. пс: С.Днипров, С.Осипов и др.), печатал ст. по антропологии, статистике и вопросам евр. жизни. С кон. 1890-х гг. часто замещал ред. А.Е.Ландау. Одноврем. работал в Об-ве для распространения просвещения между евреями в России, в 1892—96 чл. Совещат. бюро при Евр. колонизационном об-ве, автор записки «О нек-рых нуждах евр. населения в России» (1896). В 1900–04 издавал в Петербурге газ. «Будущность» («Независимый орган рус. евреев»), а также ее ежегод. лит.-науч. сб-ки. Вынужденный из-за финанс. затруднений прекратить издание, Г. отошел от лит.деятельности и посл. годы занимался исключительно мед. практикой.
