BLYUMENFELD Beniamin Markovich (1884, Volkovyshki, Provinz Suvalki. - 1947, Moskau), Schachspieler; Schach. Theoretiker und Schriftsteller. Rechtsanwalt. Er trat erfolgreich in Vseros auf. БЛЮМЕНФЕЛЬД Бениамин Маркович (1884, Волковышки Сувалкской губ. – 1947, Москва), шахматист; шахм. теоретик и литератор. Юрист. Успешно выступал во Всерос. (1905 – 2–3-е место, присвоено звание мастера) и моск. (1908 – 2-е, 1911 – 1–2-е) соревнованиях. Внес вклад в теорию дебютов: именем Б. назван изобретенный им гамбит. Автор статей по проблемам шахм. психологии, тема его кандидатской диссертации «Проблемы наглядно-действенного мышления на базе шахм. материала» (1945).Соч.: Роль эндшпиля в шахм. партии, Л., 1929; Комбинация в шахм. партии, М., 1938.
