Salop Lazar Iosifovich (1913, Gomel, Mogilev province. - 1990, Leningrad), geologist. Dr. Geol.-mineralogical Sciences (1964), prof. In 1938 he graduated from Geological and Soil. Faculty of Leningrad State University. 1941–45 - at the front. Since 1945 - in Vses. geol. in-those (VSEGEI). In 1954, publ. monograph "Lower Paleozoic of the Middle Vitim mountainous country", in 1967 - "Geology of the Baikal mountain region". S. carried out a number of generalizations on the stratigraphy and history of development during the Precambrian period of the North. hemisphere and Africa, on the development of the Earth in the early stages of its geol. stories. Study results S. are set out in the monogr .: "General stratigraphic scale of the Precambrian of the Northern Hemisphere" (1973), "Correlation and periodization of the Precambrian of the southern continents" (1977), "Geological development of the Earth in the Precambrian" (1982). Author approx. 160 publ. works. S. created in VSEGEI dep. Precambrian, to-eye directed until 1987, in tech. For 12 years he taught at Leningrad State University a course of lectures on geology developed by him.

Monographie "Unteres Paläozoikum des Mittelgebirgsgebirgslandes", 1967 - "Geologie der Baikalregion". S. führte eine Reihe von Verallgemeinerungen zur Stratigraphie und Entwicklungsgeschichte in der präkambrischen Zeit der Kontinente des Nordens durch. Hemisphäre und Afrika über die Entwicklung der Erde in den frühen Stadien ihres Geols. Geschichten. Studienergebnisse S. sind im Monogr. Dargestellt: "Allgemeine stratigraphische Skala des Präkambriums der nördlichen Hemisphäre" (1973), "Korrelation und Periodisierung des Präkambriums der südlichen Kontinente" (1977), "Geologische Entwicklung der Erde im Präkambrium" (1982). Autor ca. 160 publ. funktioniert. S. erstellt in VSEGEI dep. Präkambrium, bis 1987 gerichtet, in Tech. 12 Jahre lang unterrichtete er an der Leningrader Staatlichen Universität einen von ihm entwickelten Vorlesungskurs über Geologie.

С 1945 – во Всес. геол. ин-те (ВСЕГЕИ). В 1954 опубл. моногр. «Нижний палеозой Средне-Витимской горной страны», в 1967 – «Геология Байкальской горной области». С. осуществил ряд обобщений по стратиграфии и истории развития в период докембрия континентов Сев. полушария и Африки, по развитию Земли на ранних этапах ее геол. истории. Результаты иссл. С. изложены в моногр.: «Общая стратиграфическая шкала докембрия Северного полушария» (1973), «Корреляция и периодизация докембрия южных материков» (1977), «Геологическое развитие Земли в докембрии» (1982). Автор ок. 160 опубл. работ. С. создал во ВСЕГЕИ отд. докембрия, к-рым руководил до 1987, в теч. 12 лет читал в ЛГУ разработанный им курс лекций по геологии.
