Во время войны 1941–45 ст. инспектор-хирург эвакогоспиталей и гл. хирург 3-го Укр. фр. В 1946–65 зав. основанных им проктолог. отд. больниц № 18, № 67 и Моск. онколог. ин-та им. П.А.Герцена, с 1965 до конца жизни – зав. основанной им науч.-иссл. лаб. по проктологии с клиникой (ныне НИИ проктологии).
