В 1991–92 работал в ЦЕРНе (Швейцария). Обл. науч. интересов – теория поля, иссл. Х- и К-мезонов, суперсимметрии и супергравитация, четырехмерные интегрируемые модели. Ввел понятия спина виртуального поля, аксиального гравитационного суперполя и построил первую безоболочечную суперполевую теорию супергравитации; открыл новый тип калибровочных теорий – антисимметричное тензорное поле. Установил факт, что все калибровочные теории и теория гравитации Эйнштейна являются теориями спонтанного нарушения соответствующих симметрии. Создал науч. школу по суперсимметриям и суперструнам. Чл.
