Nach Konflikten mit den Berliner Reformern 1843 Prediger in Posen. Lehnt 1846 das ihm angebotene Mainzer Rabbinat ab, wie auch andere rb. Anstellungen, um Zeit für seine Studien namentlich über die Apokryphen zu behalten.";
