Geschäft und Jeschiwa, 1815 Heirat mit seiner Frau Julie (gest. 1880), mit der er einige Jahre in Luže lebt und dann nach Golčùv Jeníkov zurückkehrt. Seine zeitweise 150 Schüler zählende Akademie galt als letzte böhmische Jeschiwa und veranlasste 1842 Moses Montefiore zu einem Besuch in der 613-Seelen-Gemeinde. Wegen Erkrankung mußte K. seine Jeschiwa schon 1843 schließen. Er hielt seit 1845 wieder allsabbatlich Lehrvorträge, die er 1861 wegen eines Augenleidens wiederum einstellen mußte.
