Prof. für Geschichte am Dury College, SpringfieldHauptvorstand des “Community Chest Board” und des “Red Cross Board”Mitglied der “Missoury Community on Human Rights”. Ende 1968 in den Ruhestand. Sein Sohn, Prof. Dr. Walter Jacob (geb. 1930), amtierte 40 Jahre als Rb. in den USAseit 1989 Präsident des internationalen Solomon B.Freehof Institute for Progressive  Halakhah, 1990-1994 Vizepräsident der World Union for Progressive Judaism, 1992-1994 Präsident der Central Conference of American Rabbis (CCAR), Mitglied im Aufsichtsrat des Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion.
