Privatlehrer in Kolín, später Religionslehrer in Benešov (Beneschau), versieht provisorisch den Unterricht in allen anderen Fächern und wahrte nach eigener Aussage eine „musterhafte Haltung insbesondere in der aufrührerischen Zeit im Jahre 1848“. Verrichtet rb. Funktionen für den Berauner Kreisrb. Löb Glogau, der ihm am 13. Mai 1856, also einen Monat vor seinem Tod, ein Rabbinatsdiplom ausstellt. Als Religionsweiser in Neustupov (Neustupow), Südböhmen unternimmt er 1858 erste Versuche zur Erreichung der Rabbinerwürde\nder opponierende Kreisrb. Jakob Mahler bezeichnet sein Diplom in einer Eingabe vom 11. Juli 1858 als „erschlichen“. 5. Juli 1859 erlangt er den Doktorgrad der Universität Gießen. Mit Studiendispens vom 19. Dez. 1864 wird er zum Rb. erhoben\ner amtiert noch im Jahr 1893.";
