Nach der Zweiteilung Schleswig-Holsteins durch die dänische Regierung wurde er im Juni 1855 als „Geistlicher für die jüdischen Glaubensbekenner im Herzogthum Schleswig“ mit Sitz in Friedrichstadt eingesetzt.";
