Nach Wahl durch die Notabeln der Gemeinden des Dépt. Roër am 18. Mai 1809 Konsistorial-Oberrb. mit Sitz in Krefeldsein Rechtsstatus bleibt ihm nach der preußischen Besitzergreifung 1815 erhalten. Unter seinem modernistischen Nachfolger L. Ullmann sammeln sich die Orthodoxen abseits der bestehenden Begräbnisbruderschaft in einer eigenen Chewra Kaddischa, die zu C.s Gedenken den Namen Mah. aneh Yehudah führte.";
