DARAN (real name and surname Daniil Borisovich Raikhman) (1894, Voronezh - 1964, Moscow), artist. Studied at the Bogolyubov Drawing School (Saratov) under P. Utkin. He started as a t-ra artist and as a poster artist. Exhibited at the Saratov Artists. exhibitions. In 1921 he moved to Moscow. Collaborated in gas. and f. ("Beep", "Poor", "Lapot"). D. is one of the organizers, thin. Association "Group of Thirteen". Sharing creative position of the group, D. took his special place in it. Выставлялся на Саратовских худ. выставках. В 1921 переехал в Москву. Сотрудничал в газ. и ж. («Гудок», «Беднота», «Лапоть»). Д. один из организаторов худ. объединения «Группа тринадцать». Разделяя творч. позиции группы, Д. занял в ней свое особое место. Его увлекали сюжеты, связанные с цирком и спортом: музыка быстрого движения находила созвучие в его стремит, импровизационно легком рисунке. Импрессионистически подвижной линии отвечала динамика интенсивного текучего цветного пятна.Д. работал исключительно с натуры, что диктовало особый темп и ритм работы. Ритмич. строй натурных рисунков Д. безошибочно точен. В 1946 и 64 состоялись персональные выставки художника.
