- Sohn des Oberrb. David-Tewle b. Nathan H. in Leszno (Lissa), Großpolen, lernt dort 15 Jahre lang als Studiengenosse und Freund Akiba Egers, nach dem Tode seines Vaters 1793 Dajan in Leszno, seit 1800 Rabbinatspräses. Anfang 1805 zum Rb. in Inowrocław gewählt. Lehrer von Jakob Zwi Meklenburg. Seine Witwe Jentel, Tochter Nathans, starb 1835.
