Kam in jungen Jahren nach Prag und studierte an der Jeschiwa des Nathanael Weil. Verheiratet mit Sara-Rachel Gumperz (st. 1769), Tochter des Bendit G. aus derselben angesehenen Familie. 1750 Dajan der Meiselsynagoge, unterstützt die Berufung Landaus auf das Oberrt. Um 1762 Dajan im Prager Bet-Din mit besonderer Zuständigkeit für die Aufrechterhaltung der Speisegesetze, 1793 nach dem Tod Ez. Landaus „erster Oberjurist“. Sein Sohn Benjamin-Wolf E. starb 1797 als Rb. in Nové Mesto nad Váhom (Waag-Neustadtl), Slowakei.";
