- Sohn des Benjamin-Wolf E. und der Rebekka Fränkel, Enkel des ersten Akiba Eger (Oberrb. in Preßburg) und Vetter des zweiten Akiba Eger (Oberrb. in Posen). Lernte bei seinem Vater in Breslau, um 1784 Klausrb. in Halberstadt, Auseinandersetzungen mit dem Konsistorium in Kassel, das die Klaussynagoge kurz vor Ende des Westphäl. Kgr. schließen läßt. Nach Auflösung des Konsistoriums 22. Juli 1814 provisorische Anstellung als Rb. in Halberstadt. 1820 Bewerber in Hamburg. Seine erste Frau war Blume Poll, die zweite Esther Hirsch (1782-1836).
