- Sohn des Jakob Hakohen, Urenkel eines Bruders des Schabbetai Kohen. Schüler von Jonathan Eibeschütz, Dajan in Lissa, nach verschiedenen Schwierigkeiten reist er in den Westen. 1773 ist er in Amsterdam, 1776 in Frankfurt/M., wo der junge Moses Sofer die Korrektur seines Manuskripts besorgt. Anscheinend war er später Talmudlehrer in Berlin. Korrespondent des Prager Oberrb. Ez. Landau.
