has abstract: Sohn des Michael L., Schüler von Akiba Eger in Posen, 1840 bis ca. 1849 Rb. in Starogard Gdañski (Preußisch-Stargard), Prov. Westpreußen, dankt dort ab und wird Ortsrabbiner der kleinen Gemeinde von Człuchów (Schlochau). Später Dajan in Berlin, dann Stiftsrabbiner an der Löb-Salomon- Klaus in Hamburg. Wreschner schreibt ihm mystische Neigungen zu. Schwiegervater des hebräischen Dichters Jochanan Wittkower.
