- Nachkomme von David Diespeck, heiratet in eine schwäbische Rabbinerfamilie ein und wird zum Jahresende 1821 als Rb. und Vorsänger der Gemeinde Buttenhausen b. Münsingen in Württemberg angenommen, nach achtjähriger Tätigkeit wechselt er Ende 1829 auf das Rt. Belfort, Oberelsaß, wo er fünfzig Jahre lang amtierte. Sein Sohn Joseph L. wurde Rabbiner und Talmuddozent in Paris.
