hoped that the settlers who bore the brunt of hard work and showed an example of endurance in the past will also fulfil their tasks in the future as befits an army of pioneers. The settlement work of the Keren Hayesod comprised all communities and classes, as evidenced by the Tables 5, 6, 7. The farmers in the old colonies who suffered from the War (Ein-Ganim, Kfar Uriah, Petach Tikvah, etc.) were also assisted by the funds of the Keren Hayesod, and the Keren Hayesod participated in the establishing of the settlements of the old colonies' farmers' sons (Kfar Aaron, Herzliah, Ness-Ziona, Gederah, Beer-Jacob). Further, settlements of the middle class were assisted (Magdiel, Bnei-Brak, reconstruction of Kfar-Saba following the disturbances in 1921), and finally settlements were established by the Keren Hayesod for orthodox classes (Sedeh Jacob, Kfar Gideon, Kfar Baruch, Kfar Hittim. and Kfar Chassidim).
