In accordance with the agreement made with these Companies, the above amounts will be repaid in the course of the year 1935 out of the proceeds of land sales. 6. Various Shares. During the period under review the Keren Hayesod Head Office took over from the Palestine Land Development Co. shares to the value of £1,500, as the equivalent of dividends due on shares held by the Keren Hayesod. Moreover, in connection with affairs of the American Zion Commonwealth, shares of the Geulath Hamaim Co., Ltd., to the amount of £220 were transferred to the Keren Hayesod. In February, 1935, the Keren Hayesod established the Film Company " Urim," Ltd., for the production of Palestine propaganda films. The registered capital of the Company is £2,000. Up to the present the Keren Hayesod has disbursed £107 12s. Od. for shares of this Company. D.—Peter Schweitzer Hospital in Tiberias. On the suggestion of the Health Department of the Vaad Leumi of the Knesseth Israel, the Keren Hayesod has let the Peter Schweitzer Hospital in Tiberias directly to the Kupath Holim of the General Jewish Labour Organisation and to the Kupath Holim of the Farmers' Association, mainly for patients using the. hot springs in Tiberias. During the two seasons in which the Hospital was administered by the Kupath Holim of the Labour Organisation, the average number of beds was fifty and of the patients over 500. During the season in which the Hospital was taken over by the Kupath Holim of the Farmers' Association, the average bed-strength was twenty-five and the number of patients 253. On the conclusion of the loan from Lloyds Bank and the liquidation of the debts of the Jewish Agency out of these funds, as well as for reasons connected with the conclusion of the above loan, it was found preferable that these assets should be transferred from the books of the Jewish Agency to those of the Keren Hayesod. After providing for reserve and depreciation, the total value of the assets transferred to the Keren Hayesod per March 31st, 1935, amounted to £904,356 19s. 9d., whilst the total assets of the Keren Hayesod on that date stood at £1,088,436 9s.
